Sanctuary funeral

An exclusive bespoke funeral with Mimi
$12,000 complete price including cremation. Burial and event fees are additional.
This is a new and pioneering service in the funeral industry. We offer a unique and personal experience of Mimi walking with you to navigate the heady days after great loss.
With 24 hour access to Mimi as your guide and confidant as needed for the duration of your beloved’s funeral preparation week.
Additionally with Mimi, and as required: grief counselling, deep listening and grounding in that “spacey” feeling after someone close has died. This is a unique and memorable experience of tender care of your loved one, and your family during your sorrow time.
All flowers, petals and casket cover, your choice of any casket or coffin in our range, all transfers, full vigil in your home or at The Sanctuary, newspaper death notice, your choice of venue and celebrant (including Mimi) visits and support.

We specialise in the care of family and deceased after traumatic death or child loss, as we create time and space and tender care for family and their beloved dead.
We also specialise in honouring a unique life and grand old age by creating a healing space to celebrate a life well lived.

Option 1
No Service, All Care Cremation $2,490
Proudly our most affordable, no fuss, and easy option for a gentle return to the Earth.
Inclusive of professional service fees, cremation fee, transport & mortuary care, coffin, paperwork and documentation, Death Certificate, return of ashes.
Option 2
No Service, All Care Cremation with viewing - $3,500
This includes unhurried time with family at arrangement, information and support. All death is sacred passage, so even our no service direct cremation option upholds our holistic care principles. Transfer of deceased to our mortuary within 40km, natural body care and all preparations for a gentle return to the earth. We include dressing and sacred Anointing, a Bioboard coffin, all required documentation, doctor’s certificates and death registration, liaising with medical and hospital/other staff, personal accompaniment by one of our trained staff at all times until final disposition at our crematorium. Arrangement and time with family and facilitation of ashes return.
Option 3
Premium Sanctuary funeral with Cremation - $6,900
This is our signature offering. It is a premium service with all inclusions with the exception of your choice of coffin or casket. This provides peace of mind and ease when you need support the most.

Premium Sanctuary funeral with Burial (Includes dual service location)
$7,300 (EXCLUDING cemetery and grounds fees which are charged at cost, and coffin).
The Sanctuary funeral (with burial or cremation) is our bespoke signature service in an oasis of peace in rural Coraki. A unique, hand-crafted funeral celebration of love and loss in a beautiful country location. A true funeral retreat for people who simply want the best for their loved one.
A Sanctuary Funeral includes a choice of 3 locations: The Sanctuary building (historic, repurposed redbrick church), Brandon Hall (historic community hall) and grounds, under giant leafy fig trees.This single price includes all fees relating to the care of your deceased person and the delivery of a beautiful funeral at The Sanctuary oasis in Coraki, NSW.
*Note: all prices are inclusive of GST.
Inclusions:
- Provision of transport and staff on the day of the funeral.
- Design & placement of death and funeral notices in newspapers.
- Liaising with churches/clergy or civil celebrant, florist, musician and other service providers.
- Provision of celebrant.
- Liaising with Cemetery and Crematoria authorities.
- Liaising with doctors/hospitals, government agencies and the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages as well as other organisations.
- Full natural body care, use of safe/non toxic and organic products (lotions and essential oils)
- Flowers – casket top flowers spray.
- Assistance and guidance with arranging funeral plans.
- Expertise and care from a team of experienced, local and professional staff (available 24/7, all year).
- BDM Death Certificate
- Live-streaming at request (for services in The Sanctuary).
We use the beautiful garden crematorium at Melaleuca Station in Chinderah, Tweed Valley Cemetery, NSW or Lismore City Council crematorium in Goonellabah, NSW.
All of our deceased are transported in our hearse, Voyager or other suitable transfer vehicle.
Note: Arrangements for funeral service locations other than our venue at Coraki will be charged at cost as a disbursement.
DISBURSEMENTS & options
- BDM Death Certificate – $67 (included in all funeral package prices).
- Cremation certificates – Approx $120 each (included in all funeral package prices).
- Crematorium fees $1,100 (included in all funeral package prices).
- Cemetery fees – at cost. Fees vary between council and private cemetery locations.
- Newspaper notice – $250 – $440 (subject to newspaper and size of notice).
- Off-site funeral (not at Sanctuary venue) – $400
- Burial – all burial services at any local cemetery are charged as disbursement only.
- Viewing of deceased outside of business hours – complimentary by arrangement with any funeral package
- Memorial bookmarks design and printing x 150 – $330
- Order of service sheets design and printing x 150 – $360
- Creation of PowerPoint photo tribute – $250
- Livestream of service at venue other than The Sanctuary – $450
- Livestream with Videographer (copy provided on USB) – $750
Our natural body care mortuary is located in the Earth House at The Sanctuary, 45-47 Queen Elizabeth Drive, Coraki NSW.
SERVICES - Natural Funeral Care
All of our fees include all day, everyday care and love from an experienced and compassionate holistic funeral director, arrangement, attendance and personal service. All of our funeral packages include transfers within 35 km radius from place of death, natural mortuary care, funeral administration, hearse or family preferred vehicle, and registration with the appropriate authorities.
Transport of deceased from place of death to our funeral home – $425 within 40km (included in funeral package price)
* This service fee is included in the price of each of our funeral packages. ($1.95 per km thereafter).
Transport of deceased to place of funeral service, and crematorium or cemetery – complimentary.
Natural body care & preparation including viewing of deceased – complimentary.
Mortuary storage of deceased – complimentary.
